Playful Media SIG Showcase 2011
The School of Creative Media campus student exhibition will be works to the whole school and the public display and hope to achieve the purpose of academic exchange. Better public, schools and non-hospital staff on the School of Creative Media students knowledge and understanding, moreover, wishing that increasing public concern about media art, awareness and interest.
是次展覽會將創意媒體學院同學的作品向全校師生及公眾人士展出,希望達致學術交流的目的。加深大眾、校內教職員及非本院同學對創意媒體學院的了解和認識,並希望增加大眾對媒體藝術之關注、認識和興趣。
There are six areas of the exhibition works:
展覽作品共有六個範疇:
-Animation & DVFX (Digital Viausl Effects) 動畫及數碼視覺效果
-Photography 攝影
-Game 遊戲
-Graphics & Design 圖形與設計
-Installation and Interaction 裝置藝術與互動
Special Interest Group (SIG)
Special Interest Group (SIG) is managed by dedicated BScCM students in SCM with the supervision of academic staff associated with the BScCM program. Students sign up to the SIG on their own interests and passion. They initiate projects ranging from innovative computer games and interactive installations to digital art design. The SIG is funded by City University of Hong Kong endorsed by Professor Richard Ho. The first Showcase received great success in 2007 and also co-exhibited with international professional event: Asia’s 1st ACM SIGGRAPH Traveling Art Show.
“The (SIG) Groups provide excellent opportunities for students to immerse in both artistic and scientific aspects of digital media creation,” said Professor Liu Zhi-Qiang of SCM, Program Leader of the BScCM (Hons) in School of Creative Media.
