Bully dentist of Yan Oi Tong Dental Clinic
I and Mrs. Wong waited for 15 minutes and walked in to see Dr. Mak together. He first whispered into Mrs. Wong’s ear, “You don’t need to be a good person. You don’t have to help others.” He then asked me couple of questions to find out my health condition: “Are you on any medication, with any disease, or allergy of anything?” I answered him. He dropped down on an A5 sized white card. He said to me “You were here begging us for sympathy. You have to make another appointment to come again in late Aug. I have the right to refuse to see you and have the right not to service you. So you can leave now, I won’t serve you today.” He has the mask to cover his face all the time during the conversation with me.
I believe I have the right to recover my personal medical record from their clinic, but the receptionist there told the receptionist of medical service department that they have the right to keep it according to privacy rules and refused to return my personal file to me.
Dentist M.W. Mak might think he has the authority to be bully to patients and treats them as nothing. He is acting against human rights. He should review the mission of Yan Oi Tong, dentists’ practice manual.
Whatever the public officer like Choi Wong Ling Ling, the chairman of Yan Oi Tong, said to the public to promo the organization, if their staff like dentist MAK Ming Wai of Yan Oi Tong dental clinic being so bully to the patients as if he has the right to mistreat patients, Yan Oi Tong was betrayed by her own internal staff.
Yan Oi Tong should discipline their employees before they ask for donation from the public.
