想請問有無人熟識 Navy SEAL 裝備，我想請教一把叫 "Spectwar"匕首嘅資料，謝謝！

There were a few knives model call “SpecWar”, and all of these knives were designed by famous knife maker/martial artist Mr. Ernest Emerson.

The original “SpecWar” was a fixed bladed, it was hand-made (custom-made expensive blade) by Mr. Emerson in the early 90s (see the top knife in the second picture).

In 1996 a knife company Timberline bought copy right of Mr. Emerson’s design and manufactured another fixed blade knife model “SpecWar” under Timberline’s own name.

I believe the Timberline “SpecWar” is the one you’re asking about. It was a mass production knife which has a 6 inches long blade, using ATS-34 stainless steel as knife material, with Titanium Nitride coated on the entire blade.

Though this model had been tested by the US NSW Center (Naval Special Warfare Center), it was never been adopted by the US Navy SEALs Team as an officially issue knife. Somehow some of the team members obtain it by their own money.

In 1998 when Mr. Emerson decided to manufacture the knives in mass production and started his own company “Emerson Knives Incorporation”, he made a tactical folder also call “SpecWar”, this was later chosen by the NASA and became the official issue knife to the astronauts and the International Space Station Program. This folding “SpecWar” knife was available in either spear point or Tanto point.

Please note, all the above mentioned "SpecWar" knives had been discontinued by the manufacturer alraedy, but some of these could still be found on web, at collection item price.
