IMHO:  No!  銅鑼灣百樂 disappointed on every recent visits

西環尚興 much better, it is crowded and hectic during dinner time on weekends (unless you have a "VIP" room to spend big $).  Lunch time is best.

銅鑼灣百樂 give you a dirty look and black face unless -
1.  you are a regular customer
2.  you order shark fins or cold crab.

Absolutely no good.

九龍城樂口福 - they also try to sell you the sharks fins and cold crab but at least they don't give you the dirty look.  Food is good though.  But it's definitely not 舒適 as the place is really old.

It is quite a difficult question,  舒適 and 正宗 seems not compatable in HK
潮州酒樓.

尖沙咀厚福街正仁利可以考慮

That's why I need to post to question to seek your assistance.  I like Sheung Hing in Sheung Wan too but i am afraid my friends are unlike the environment.  Personally, I of course prefer Sheung Hing.

What do you think about "cold crab" in 銅鑼灣百樂 ?

最好返潮州食。

no good, not as good as before.  and i dunno why the waiters are so "inch"!

以前食凍蟹多數去灣仔新光，貪佢半夜三更都有得食

This one is a good choice. Classic Chiu Zhou dishes at fair price, no expensive non-sense dishes like the ones offered at Chong Fat.

for decent n traditional pls try 灣仔佳寧娜

it's location is below the cross-over bridge linking wanchai with SKH centre.
mind u, it can b quite expensive if u order sth special. check the price pls.
i highly recommend 尚興 as well, but it's kind of a local restaurant, not decent enough.

my other favourates are 2 local restaurants which produce cheaper delicious stuff like 滷水鵝
but i'm not sure about the names of them.
they are located in
灣仔春園街 (not far away from the jockey club)
and
西灣河 (is it called 順興?)

i usually buy take away cos the restaurants r not proper for treating guests.

Would it be  "鵝八"?   
Good 滷水鵝 and other 滷水 food.  Quite good value.

Too generic and nothing special at all. But yes, it is quite cheap!

i rather the food is good.  causeway bay now is all OL food, garbage food taste better in a cheap+beautiful restaurant.  so many good restaurant die in last few years because of OL thinking and MK thinking.



如果樓主想食打冷, 鵝頸橋底仲有一兩間, 問你d朋友想食好野就食, 大不了食完再搵個好地方坐低飲咖啡.  d OL店, 中看不中用呀, 入到廚房咪又係一樣咁邋遢.  需然我兩間都會去, 但係上環"尚興"個廚房比世貿中心韓菜"名家"個廚房好得多, 如果淨睇外面鬼睇得出來!!
