how to recover those Half brick Wii ?
for those who bought Wii, and modified to play other regions games . . . . .
if you have accidentally upgraded your Wii to another regions firmware, you would have the following 2 results,
1. DVD driver could not run at all, hence, your Wii became a "white brick"
2. you could not access your Menu Setting but could still play Wii games
For case 1, you could not have much choice but to wait till the market learnt how to download the firmware back to the flash memory of the console (i.e. no solution for now)
For case 2, since you could not go to Setting Menu, you could no longer use the Wii Internet download method to upgrade a proper firmware anymore, hence, the only way is the new game which comes with the new firmware update
For my case, I am using a Wii US version but accidentally upgraded to european version Firmware.
Luckly, it is the 2nd case, and even more luckily, I got to know that the latest US game "Big Brain Acadamy" has the latest update of firmware.
I have proven this worked, so for those bro or sis who has similar experience, wait for the game of the same region as your game console which has the latest firmware update, then it would help to repair your Wii (but just applies to case 1)
