It seems that the Financial Secretary is using Typhoon #8 signal to save the HK market at the moment.
Let's see how the markets run in Europe and US tonight.

better stop it for half day... I expect a huge fall this afternoon.

Nothing can save the market. Wait for 20,000.

Fall will continue next week after the sharp declines in Europe and US markets.

DOW now drops another 140pts, no matter today had signal #8 or not, HSI will have DEEP drop at Monday's market

It's fortunate enough that the Observatory posted the T8 signal at 2:30pm. That way the trades could be settled within 15 minutes. If the T8 was posted earlier, then there won't be the afternoon market which could make the situation a lot worst on Monday.

As US market drops a little, HK market would not drop too much, but 300 pt to 500 pt drop is expected.

Not me but keeping CASH as far as possible.

keep cash first, save at least below 20,000 to buy again... if you're brave enough.

frankly, I think 19,000 is safer, 20,000 is not very safe indeed.

Not long ago, many people in this forum were saying 21,500 as the bottom but how wrong now.

Yes, keep CASH and 19,000 should be quite safe. otherwise, it will become a real market crash if to 17,000 etc. At 17,000, it is @28% off from the peak @23,500.
