ai i miss benz O305 so much!!
when i was young i used to take this bus on 68 or 68X ga.
then later i will take 73 or 71X or 74... now...no longer la...
i like this bus so much!!
the engine sound, the appearance, everyth~
do u share the same interest with me?

O305 was certainly one of the greatest types of bus serving Hong Kong.

I did exactly the same with you -- I mainly travelled on 68X as I loved the way which O305 overtook Leyland Victory; and in later days, Leyland Olympian, MCW Metrobus and Dennis Dragon.

Its engine sound was surely amazing, and I especially like the sound which its engine was started.

It's really a gem -- with O305, I undoubtedly learn how good and outstanding the "German built" means.

我第一次見到BENZ O305 是行101(約在1983-1984年左右), 我記得那時68 還用勝利二型, 後來全部轉到我是到行新界西, 我是從O305 由新界西轉到新界東服務才有機會坐, 我喜歡她的速度感同引擎聲, 起步比很多車快, 跑山路(大埔公路)非常好, 因此有一段時間, 我在旺角回家, 都不會坐火車或72X, 寧可到柏景灣搭BENZ 的72回家
現在一切都盡在回憶中

The last bus trips of O305 are on 76K, they were gone before SARS in 2003.

If you want to hear the engine sound, go to Australia and there are many many benz buses there, you can always hear O305 engine sound.
