超過50萬人追捧，凍資2,200億元的SOHO中國（新上市編號：0410），消息指散戶一手中籤率達到60%，更只需認購2,000股（4手），即動用約1.7萬元便可穩獲一手，料將成為9月以來最易抽的新股。網龍最快月中招股集資8億　　另外，繼大昌行（新上市編號：1828）後，今年首隻公開發售的創業板新股將接力招股。內地網上遊戲商網龍（NetDragon）最快於月中招股，集資1億美元（約7.8億港元），保薦人為貝爾斯登。　　集資最多128.6億元，發行15.49億股的SOHO，由於超購逾100倍從而啟動回撥機制，把公開發售比例由10%大幅提升至50%，遂令其「易抽度」提升。雖然回撥機制令國際配售比例由90%降至50%，但不少機構性投資者表示其獲分配比率不俗，可說皆大歡喜。群星掛牌升6成一手賺3230元　　昨日掛牌的群星紙業（3868），全日最高曾見10.28元，即較5.35元招股價高92%，收報8.58元，升幅大幅收窄至60%，成交15.1億元。若不計手續費，散戶每手帳面賺3,230元，位列今年最賺錢新股第6位。新疆新鑫礦業（新上市編號：3833）和波司登（新上市編號：3998）將於今日中午12點截止認購，兩者孖展金額最後分別錄得139.5億和39億元，即超購34.8倍和5倍。市場消息指，受到亞洲股市造好刺激，波司登國際配售認購金額倍增，超購逾50倍，波司登和新鑫均傾向以上限3.28元和6.5元定價。　　至於明天掛牌的大成食品（新上市編號：3999），市場消息指，機構投資者間的暗盤價為3.4元，較招股價高17%。據悉，散戶一手中籤率為40%，申請1.4萬股（14手）者方可穩獲一手。

Though it is not favourable to those big subscription amount investors, I'd love to see as many as investors to get at least one hand so everyone can be particpating and enjoying during the rise of the market, if rise.

Maybe I will regret later or will not, my personal view is 獨樂樂不如做眾樂樂

This is a very unfair way of allocation. If that's true, I am fortunate not to have subscribed to this share. So many shares would go to people who sell in day 1 and have no interest in the company. It's a waste of administration effort and just to make the bank/broker rich.

With limited amount of cash, I placed my bet on #3999 instead, and I get 15,000 shares. The decision was simply based on Cazenove being the sole book runner and they have a great track record. I hope it's the right decision.

If can go up by 15% or more, should be a tidy profit for locking-up money for 7 days or so,

I put $5M so I am in Group B, so it is not affecting me for the Group A policy. But hopefully the situation in Group B is not that worse.

For large scale of IPO, put yourself in Group B so u can avoid the unfair policy like one man one lot or two man one lot.

Me too, with a limited amount cash. I put my whole bet on 410, then the remaining on 3883 and one hand on 3999 for participating. And, it seems you made a better decision than mine.

But I am considering to put my money directly on the listed stock(s) rather than those upcoming IPOs .

There isn't a better investment than IPO. This is a weird situation unique in HK only, so why not take advantage of it. The issuer guarantees you a profit and the banks charge you an interest rate lower than the HIBOR. You may gain more by direct investment and there's always a risk. With IPO, there is ZERO risk and you can sometimes win big.

I always use Day 1 closing to gauge the IPO performance, and with the two recent IPOs, the profits were 10% and 3% over 7 days.

The problem with Group B is that the percentage is on the whole lower than Group A. Having said that, if you have unlimited resources, you should always go for Group B as the absolute allocation/gain is always higher.

I tried a few Group B's and they were all unlucky experience. I am inclined to spread my money into as many IPOs and as many accounts as possible to maximise the allocation.

Understand. But Group B is more fair than Group A.

In the most recent allocation in Group B, the hitting rate across Group B is the same. It means if u put more $ in, u will get more shares in the same percentage of others.

But in terms of percentage, group A at any level is better than group B. Therefore, with limited resources, one should split up the money into two or three group A than having one group B.

I had as much as 2% on #1393 and 1.5% on #3377, a much better percentage than group B.

No, you don't need to be a genius to work it out. It's all Maths.

The bank manager told me that these days, their C9 customers all go for Group B.

My retired uncle who lived overseas came back last year for holiday when #1398 went IPO and I had to convince to put the money on the IPO. He was scared. He didn't believe me when I told him it's ZERO risk - he thought it was too good to be true. He started with a capital of $500K and one year on, he has made over $2 million.

My retired sister uses 100% finance on the IPO and she made over $1 million in the last 18 months.

Simple as that.

Also in Mainland China, millionares are all over the place or the people I met. Told by them, nowadays tenths of millions is the entry to the so-called "kind of rich"

Of course, one stands no chance of putting in more than one application in the same name. If one doesn't have extra names, then he/she should put in maximum resources but should consider splitting that max. resources into as many IPOs as possible.

I am actually managing some accounts for a few of my Shanghaiese friends. Although it wasn't close to millions, the amount is not to be sneezed at, considering these are office workers and at most they are making some ten or twenty thousand RMB a month. So, never underestimate a Shanghai woman.

Yes at this moment.

Actually today's is foreseeable as the market was going opposite yesterday and the rate for one hand out of one hand is quite high. Hopefully it can do better after the first few days.

The highest around at $3.5, a 20% increase.

This is going to hit $3.90 soon. Generally, I won't sell in the first three days. I will let the one-man-one-lot people get out of the way first. Also, I never worried, as I have great confidence in Cazenove. That's the only reason I subscribed to this stock.

So at $3.25 you made a $320 gross profit, minus $100 brokerage. Is it worth the trouble? And chances are, you might not even get the allocation.

Yes, as I said I should change my trading habit.

And, the net profit is around $68 after deduct the bank fees and others, a 2.2% return in 10 to 12 days. But quite good comparing to around 3.X% 1 month bank deposit, and profit is a profit.

But this 2.2% comes with a risk. Also, one should look at the absolute term.

My net profit at $3.44 is around 10%. Not bad for 8 days work.
