當年港版電影廣告......三德....

此片亦做就了...Bee Gees...紅上加紅！

三位明星當年十一歲....現在相信尚存人間的話....也有四十多了...

Jack Wild....I like this ...

jack wild 在melody 當然是非常搶鏡，不過，外國人對他印象最深的還是 "OLIVER" (也有mark lester的演出）

很可惜，JACK 後來爛煙爛酒，終于得了口腔癌(ORALCANCER)，病魔和治療令他説話也口齒不清，後來動過手朮，聽説連舌頭也要割掉，他連聲音也失掉。JACK 最後于2006年與世長辭，享年才53嵗。他得知自己的病是由於煙酒所引起，常以過來人的身份勸年輕人別碰煙酒。

Today I just rushed to Wanchai to buy the Melody VCD and watch that w/ my son (who is very young) and my Filippina maid. We all enjoyed that so much. It's a movie for all generations.

Again it's a pity that Jack has left us but his performance is truly marvellous.

Oliver 是1968年拍得那套，香港的譯名應該是[孤雛淚]。It's based on the famous novel "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens. Besides buying the Melody VCD I tried to look for that, unfortunately can't find it, except the new version which was directed by Polanski.

who else do know where the 1968 version is available pls let me know. I really want to buy it coz Jack Wild was nominated as the best supporting actor in Academy Award. Although he finally could not win it, it was a milestone to his showbiz career. His singing and dancing + acting was awesome in this movie.

there was another movie after this with a similar theme, I think it's called 人細鬼大 (Friends)... did anyone see it? I don't think it was as popular but I liked the song with the same name (by Elton John)... it's was one of his lesser knowm hits (but very good nonetheless)

HMV..內可以找到....但一定很貴...

今年我在該店找已故的..史提夫麥昆在60年代主演的....渾身是胆 hk$ 250.

I bought the DVD from Canada about 2 years ago. It costs me C$19.99 + tax.

I believe it was French, by Sean Bury & Anicée Alvina (from amazon.com, see link below)... yes, Elton John did it.. along with another soundtrack 'Michelle's Song' were minor hits in HK... didn't quite make it to the charts in US or Europe though... they were latter included in his compilation CD called Rare Masters in 1992
