Today I just rushed to Wanchai to buy the Melody VCD and watch that w/ my son (who is very young) and my Filippina maid.  We all enjoyed that so much.  It's a movie for all generations.

Again it's a pity that Jack has left us but his performance is truly marvellous.

Oliver ¬O1968¦~©ç±o¨º®M¡A­»´äªºÄ¶¦WÀ³¸Ó¬O[©tÂú²\]¡CIt's based on the famous novel "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens.  Besides buying the Melody VCD I tried to look for that, unfortunately can't find it, except the new version which was directed by Polanski.

who else do know where the 1968 version is available pls let me know.  I really want to buy it coz Jack Wild was nominated as the best supporting actor in Academy Award.  Although he finally could not win it, it was a milestone to his showbiz career.  His singing and dancing + acting was awesome in this movie.

there was another movie after this with a similar theme, I think it's called ¤H²Ó°­¤j (Friends)...  did anyone see it? I don't think it was as popular but I liked the song with the same name (by Elton John)...   it's was one of his lesser knowm hits (but very good nonetheless)
