提示﹕

(1)巴士(著名的中巴白水箱型號)証明地方是在港島。

(2)房屋密集也應是人口稠密地區。

(3)左邊商舖均有 "CHEST" 招牌﹐ 或標明是賣 CHEST
乜野係 CHEST?

(4)曾經有一段時期一香港有一區是造 chest 行業集聚的地方﹐ 成行成市﹐ 也很出名。

有此資料﹐ 係老餅的理應能推拷到是那一處。

I'd guessed it to be 皇后大道東 initially but on seconds thoughts, I don't think it was as 'tidy' as this...  it was narrow & winding too...  well I give up, let's somebidy else have a shot at it

回想78 - 80年度日間每天都在淺水灣一帶或南區海灘溜達夜間便到中環德己笠街一帶玩樂當時還未聽過( 蘭桂坊 ) 三字那裡很少玩點有一間名(Disco Disco)的Disco 我們一般叫DD 很多外國基佬東主是位名~歌頓~的洋人我一星期有三四晚就左這裡渡過。

I used to frequent DD a lot too in the early 80's (before I moved to Canada)... I think there was another popular place then called Manhantan (in Causeway Bary)... My personal favorite was Bar City though - 7 bars all in one place... you could get a package ticket & visit all 7 of them! ...I still recall a couple of Philipino bands there - Moon Shockers (they did cantonese songs) & Citations (the 3 sisters in the bad were lovely) in the disco!

80s初仍處(战国时期)尾段尖沙咀的大街小巷打斗纷争還不少比之油麻地旺角港岛湾仔區更甚加燦兄所选的區域或玩點是屬安全地帶。

I moved to Chai Wan in end of 1982,
moved to Saiwanho in mid 1996,
moved to Kornhill in mid 2003
moved back to Saiwanho earlier this year

so wonderful to see so many old photos of Eastern District.

I also graduated from Shaukiwan Govt Sec. School

Really appreciate the Taikoo Dockyard Photo, amazing!!! I wonder if Tai On Building has already existed in that photo or not.

Queen's Road East, Wanchai close to Dai Fat Hau (somewhere between Pacific Place III and Dominion Center), as there were lots of chest maker in that area from 50's to 70's.

This photo is strange, the sign on the tram says it is going to 'Shaukeiwan' but it looks like it is going to the West with the Typhoon Shelter on the left.

This is another one showing Taikoo Dock from the east. You can also see the old Taikoo staff quarters along Tai Ning St., Tai Foo St., etc. Enjoy!

Great to see so many old 街坊 here!!

To answer dorothytiffany: I only studied there for 2 years only (lower 6th and upper 6th). I was an external. Anything I was still proud to be part of SGSS coz SGSS is a famous secondary school on island side! I was also very impressive that SGSS boys and girls are very outgoing (good at organiziing activities) and independent, also English standard was good!!

Thanks again for Taikoo Dockyard's photos.... As a Saiwanho Kaifong it was nice to see how the surrounding area looked like before.

这里是柴湾道，又名“长命斜”，图中的屋苑叫“霭宁园”，but I don't think those residents can enjoy the peace coz all vehicles are fighting up to the hill....

也有說“长命斜”，是這條從柴灣口沿這裡到柴灣新廈區從父母親口中得知照片這地段原先是舊墳區在建路初時堀起大量骨塔我也見過在這裡發生的一些嚴重交通事故！

My father always take me to here when I was a little child. Many interesting for looking. I remember that we usually eat a plate of 'East Wind Clams'.

So missing......the food, the place, the sound & the close relationship with Father.
