during the childhood days I always passed by there and now that area has been totally different:

the military base has been moved away and replaced w/ high-rise bldgs,

those squattered areas had been cleaned up

some family members passed away..........

those were the days........

Yes, it was 麗宮戲院. It was still intact when I quit my Government job in 1982. I can recall that it was not crowded at all but the pity is that I did not personally took photos of the theatre.

So I think you must know the nearby 柏立基健康院。When I was very young I followed my mom going there.  My mom was pregnant w/ my youngest brother for regular check-up.

Oh yes, 柏立基健康院 was along Choi Hung Road, as far as I can remember. Some of my colleagues went there for consultation but I like attending family clinic at QEH, becayse the quality of doctors there was said to be higher. You really bring back my old memories of the familiar San Po Kong, including the Cognitio College nearby, the rest garden, the Court, the numerous street food hawkers, the Chinese emporium, etc., etc.

題外話： 聽説以前6、70年代的公務員其實工作不太繁重，是不是真的呢？人工高，福利好，所以阿媽都叫我們要唸好英文，打政府工最好，你同意嗎？

麗宮門口小販多，不過我最不喜歡那些燒魷魚的味道，我覺得比臭豆腐更惡頂！

同意! 當時七十年代公務員很多的確是"半日安" - 做半日, 嘆半日, 但續漸社會發展趨於成熟, 這情況已經大大減少; 近年來有部分較高級的公務員工作繁重, 比商業社會的行政人員還要忙碌.

早幾天才去過新蒲崗(前公爵酒樓對面)食飯，往昔的工廠大廈已面目全非，
照右邊(協力及百勝工業大廈地下)的五金廠房都己變成食肆了!

國華商業銀行應是60年代尾開業,而公爵酒樓全盛時期應是70年代至80年代，
照中之時期極有可能有我的蹤影！

那間是何壽南小學現仍在。
其實學校好少會執，改用途的比較普遍，例如新蒲崗官立小學早年前已轉為香港考試局。

向陽樓你也記得，好嘢！！我也不知道現在變了什麽，因爲好久沒有去Sanpokong了。
以前我爸爸有朋友在向陽樓工作過，這位朋友也去世了好多年了，印象中我也去過一次，我覺得那裏大陸味挺重的。

好多時去啟德遊樂場入面個歌舞廳聽歌，
