Anyone knows how much margin Crown motors on their new Previa? How much negotiation room do we have, provided that we know one of their senior management?

如果你識佢地D大佬, 咁你應該可以上超低利息5年會, 可能 0.5%都未定.

Nonetheless, I am more looking for the discount they can offer. In the US, I could ask the Toyota sales person to show me the cost sheet and then asked him to add a certain percent to it. That's how I bought my Camry then. Does it work in HK? Also, I am going to pay it with all cash, thus interest-free loans are not a big concern to me.

Do you think I can have knock some $20000 off the listed price?

我相信唔可以, 我同學係美國買車都差不多.
不過香港政府對汽車買賣有監管, 不可以私自改變車輛出售價錢.
如需要加減售價, 需向政府申請.
就算公司大批買入, 都唔可以由售價中作出discount.

但係Crown Motors, 有一個優勝之處, 佢有財務公司.
5年利息都幾多架.

計到喇!.
首先假設上5年0.5里會, 車價 $429,210. 儲蓄利率5%
牌燕作首期.

咁每期月供7332.3375
上會所付利息為$10,730.25
而唔洗一次過俾晒$429,210, 5年後所得利息為$59,416.9015
上會比一次過付款所得的 $48686.6515
如果5%通貨膨脹, 等於今時今日既$38147.26541
比你心目中的$20,000多.

Thx wruth, may consider going for the low-interest loan instead of paying it with all cash. BTW, the listed price for the 07 Previa is some $340,000.

The trick of asking US sales for the cost sheet was recommended by Consumer Report, the US consumer magazine and that's how I bought my 1992 Camry at that time.
