Hi,

Sorry, I am too lazy to learn how to type chinese, so I type it in English. I am sure my experience will help people who has hair loss problem.

I am living in Canada and I started to get hair loss couple years ago b/c I was very stress on my IT tasks.  I asked many doctors and they cannot give me the right direction.  I even tried the minoxidil5% solutions (different bands) and it didn't help a bit. Until I found another family doctor, he is a old doctor.  Unlike many doctors who won't brother to discuess with u, the new family is so nice who explain why I get hair lost problem and how to solve it.

1) DO NOT use minoxidil5% solution!  It contains alcohol and it will kill your hair.  (Try to dip ur hand in alcohol and you will see what ur skin look like.. very bad).

2) 頭油 - the MAIN reason to cause hair loss!  Why people loss hair from stress? b/c stress makes you get more 頭油 and if you don't clean it daily and properly, the 頭油 will block your scalp (頭皮).  It is like putting stone on a 稻田 everyday.  If you don't take it out, all the 稻 will die sooner or later.

3) Avoid Stress/stay overnight - If you stay overnight, you will see you get a lot more 頭油 and facial oil.

4) DO NOT use hair spray (contain alcohol and other chemicals)

5) Wash your hair EVERYDAY and clean it propely!  Many people doesn't know how to wash their hair or use wrong shampoo.  My doctor recommand me use "Selsun Blue" http://www.selsunblue.com/daily.asp (use the blue cap one, I found it is the best).  Sorry, dono the chinese name but I am sure it is available in Hong Kong (it is $20 CAD in canada).  It contains sulfate, thus, you must use another shampoo to wash it after the Selsun Blue.  I use Dove Shapmoo and conditioner (http://www.dove.ca/hair/shampoo/intense_moisture) b/c they are good for sensetive skin.

6) Rinse the shampoo and conditioner off your hair and scalp!  After you wash your hair with 1) Selsun Blue, 2) Dove Shampoo, 3) Dove Conditioner under the shower hair, you must rinse your hair and scalp in a bucket of warm water or in a sink that filled with warm water... why? b/c after you washed your hair under the sink some shampoo and conditioner remain in the root of your hair... it is chemical and not good to your hair.  You don't believe me?

  We can do a simple test.  After you washed your hair under the shower head and clear it with towel, dip your hand in water and rub your fingers against your scalp and you will feel some shampoo is still remain on your scalp and you can still smell the shampoo on your fingers.

Oh, forgot something.  When you wash your scalp with shampoo.  Make sure you use your finger tip (not nail) to rub the scalp gentlely, it will push the 頭油 out of the hair root (don't just wash the hair).

Hair take at lease 3 months to grow especially if you have hair loss problem, so just take it easy.

ok?  Good lucky buddies, I hope my tips can help you guys and save you some $ on those garbage hair grow products and pills.

Cut your hair very short so that more nutrition will stay at the hair root and make it grow stronger and faster. Very short doesn't mean 剃光頭! 剃光頭 may hurt your scalp and you may not able to grow your hair again... so be careful.

I totally agreed with you! What you have suggested is very true. Wash our hair daily and properly is the most scientifical way to strike against hair loss.

The following two treatments have been clinically proven to successfully treat hair loss in men to varying degrees.
Finasteride, Proscar/Propecia
Finasteride is the generic name for the brand name drugs Proscar and Propecia Finasteride was originally developed by Merck as a drug to treat enlarged prostate glands (Proscar). During the trials on men with prostate problems an intriguing side effect of hair growth was observed. Since finasteride had already been approved by the FDA to treat enlarged prostates in men, Merck and Company decided to pursue the possibility of developing finasteride as the first pill to treat male pattern baldness.
On December 22, 1997 the FDA approved a 1mg dose of finasteride for the treatment of androgenic alopecia in men (male pattern baldness). Propecia is the first drug in history to effectively treat male pattern baldness in the vast majority of men who use it.
How Propeica/Finasteride Works:
Finasteride's hair-raising success is due to its ability to specifically inhibit Type II 5-alpha-reductace, the enzyme that converts testosterone into a more potent androgen dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Propecia's 1 mg dose of finasteride can effectively lower DHT levels by as much as 60% when taken daily. It is DHT that shrinks or miniaturizes the hair follicle, which eventually leads to baldness .This 60% reduction in DHT has proven to stop the progression of hair loss in 86% of men taking it the drug during clinical trials. 65% of trial participants experienced what was considered a substantial increase of hair growth.
At this point, the only truly effective medically proven way to arrest the hair loss process is to lower DHT levels. The American Hair Loss Association recommends finasteride as the first line of attack for all men interested in treating their male pattern baldness.
Minoxidil (loniten)
Minoxidil (loniten) was the first drug approved by the FDA for the treatment of male pattern baldness. For many years, minoxidill, in pill form, was widely used to treat high blood pressure. Just like finasteride researchers discovered a very interesting side effect of the drug. People taking the medication were growing hair in unexpected places like on their cheeks and the back of their hands, some even grew hair on their foreheads.
Some enterprising researchers had the notion that applying minoxidil topically, directly on the head, might grow hair on balding areas. Well it did to varying digress depending on the extent of the hair loss, but at the time it was revolutionary.
While minoxidil has been clinically proven to slow the progression of hair loss and regrow some hair, most informed experts see it as a relatively marginally effective drug in the fight against hair loss. Since minoxidil has no effect on the hormonal process of hair loss it's positive effects are at best temporary and usually yield somewhat disappointing long-term results.
With the said, The American Hair Loss Association still recommends the drug for those who have not responded favorably to finasteride treatment or for those who would like to add another product to their regime. The AHLA does not recommend minoxidil as the first line of attract for men suffering with male pattern baldness, but does recognize it as an effective treatment for a small percentage of its users.

我已用了Regaine多年, 並不是很有恆心地使用, 但比較過有用與沒有用的日子, 的確有分別
因為我剪了skin head, 有用的日子明顯發現多了頭髮長出來

忘了補充一點, 我是前額脫髮的, 現在已三十多歲所以開始放棄, 因為我很愛運動, 剪短頭髮其實很方便,
自從陳豪剪了skin head後, 大家都比較接受, 我的愛人也不介意, 所以不再太理會

我剛用完一支Selsun Blue，但係香港買唔到藍蓋的；今朝我老婆話我知我頭頂個轉位，原本有個大銀空位而家出咗些毛毛，或者開始生效喇。
