Yeah, I watched it when it was broadcasted on CCTV.

It was a pity and great loss that she retired from the showbiz so early and her family life had been miserable (had to take care her mother-in-law for 20 years!!!).

I admired her patience.  She is still in good shape.

Actually she had been a very sweet girl.  She sings well, acted well and she is still very friendly person nowadays.  She is a good person so I hope her life since the passaway of her mother-in-law will be turning better.

Her husband is also a famous singer (old-cake type) in Japan.

The TV series had so much impacts in HK and in China in early 80s.  Not just the volleyball sport, but "Junko's" cutie hair-style.  I was in primary 6 and I had imitated her hair-style by that time

The TV series itself was a classic.

早幾年有人傳荒木由美子拍完《排球女將》幾年就瓜咗, 唔知邊條茂利咁冇品???

這個傳聞就沒聼過，只是這套劇播完了1、2年後聽説過劇中有一位演員叫三原順子，在車禍中去世。
