香港玩番相同既嘢分分鐘要貴幾倍，仲要冇同等既質素和服務；所以每月出糧都會馬上將手上子彈唱成人仔，唔會俾機會自己留港消費。

The devaluation of HonkKong $ does not affect me that much but one thing for sure with the pending inflation presuure within China and the world, the cost of pooning won't be cheaper in the future. I guess in 5 year time, you will not have $3/400 full meal deal in sauna. One may need to spend min couple grand for KTV. 2/5/8 may increase to 4/10/15 or even more. The authority trying to shield the real cost of oil from China by regulating the retail price but the cost has to be absorbed somehow by someone because they all brought the oil at world market price. Eventually they will allow the market price into the pricing system. The cost of infaltion will be unavoidable. The cost of energy will go nowhere but up and China needs a lot of energy to fuel the economy. you can imaging the cost of doing business in future and it will transfer back to the consumer. The North america is going through this kind of pain now and it will gradually affect evryone in the world. The cost of sheilding the real cost of energy will be too much eventually. With the hugh foriegn reserve eaten by inflation and devauation of US dollar and decling export business, the booming manufacturers in DG won't last very long. Sorry about all these dark forecast, better to work harder to make more buck in order to keep the pooning hobby

The amount of available young teenager worker in DG is reducing because they could find decent job in local area, thus the infusion of fresh worker in pooning business will also be affected in long run. You won't find the plenty supply of MM in 5/10 year time no more. So enjoy it as you can now.

Very true..Brother DoubleOO,
Still remember Taiwan and Korea in the 70s while everything was cheap and we played king there then...
As China developes everything is going up gradually, if not sharply..
What you said is asoulutely true..make more money and play hard now..may be it is just a few years time that everything will be changed..Of course it will be more than a few years time..as China is so huge and it takes a while before she becomes the Taiwan and Korea today..
Lucky us..It is only once for a while for us to enjoy this wonderful period..Let's enjoy now...

On the positive side, there will be more young chicks from remote villages who'ill be migrating to GuangdDong for work because of worsen living situation in their home provinces. Another wildcard you didn't address is the upcoming U.S. Presidential election. Depends on which party wins, it will have a significant effect on issues such as the Iraq war, U.S. economy, oil prices all of which can directly impact the economy in Asia which then will influence the value of HK and US dollar. If the Democrats win the White House and keep their vow to end the war, I speculate an immediate boost in the stock market plus a more gradual easing of inflation pressure on the economy.

Hi, sorry about my previous lengthly post, however it is true that the US prsidential election will affect the policy, but the underline problem is still the unbading demand for energy and oil by China India and US. If you think the price of oil is expensive, just wait few more months for the summer demand. When China eventually get onto the market economy to catch up on world price, you will really feel it with your shrinking wallet. Like brother Haidada, ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN. It will only get more expensive!!

In the past half year, I have changed HKD into RMB. So OK by now. But the cost of expenditure between Hong Kong and China big cities like shenzhen is really getting similar.

當然唔會係永遠升,但今年內一定升,升跌是有的,但大方向是"升"....
