Hi im new here so not familiar with how posting works.

Basically i have a Canon 350D from 2 years ago, the kit lens is quite poor in quality and has been disappointing.

I am considering buying this lens as a replacement: Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS does anyone have any comments/suggestions?

Very depends on what sort of budget you willing to spend.
Please provide more details in order people give you advice:
1/ Price range
2/ Canon brand only (or other brand is ok also)
3/ Use in what purpose (say Portrait / Landscape / Document / Snapshots )
