I had dinner in the "江山笑" at Lippo centre last week, corkage is $100 per bottle, the abalone, 醉雞 and 杏仁露 are quite good but all other dishes are so so or even below standard, the food cost about $280 per head after discount, wouldn't go again.

I also tried the Pierside at Royal Pacific Hotel, they have buy 1 get 1 free promotion for their set dinner ($298) this month with coupon that can be printed in openrice, I think it's super value,

good food. If you have time it's worth to try it, remember to book a window seat where you can enjoy a good view.

is Oncologist back to HK? For gathering, I could be available on 5th (Friday) or 10th (Wed). other days were occupied.

I am having a colonoscopy in the morning of 1 March. Don't know if that would be too soon for a binge drinking the same day? Other than that, Mar 1-3 are fine with me.

how about that, we write down the dates we are available / not available on March (from Mon-Fri) and see whether we can come to a compromise? I'm not available on every Thursday, and would rather prefer not on Wednesday if possible, other weekdays are OK.

my urease test last week was positive. Medication will finish on 3/10 Thursday. I hope it won't stop me from drinking/eating.....

Celestial Court is really expensive, although I have a discount card for 25% off.

新斗記 in Sai Kung Street or thereabout? I hope it's less expensive than the 斗記 (which has since closed down because the owner/chef had a stroke) in Ng Chung Street. I had the most expensive dinner in my life there, not to mention having to share a table with strangers.

What about the one at Nathan Hotel that we went to?

Not sure if the 新斗記 is associated with the previous 斗記 or not, but the existing one is also located in Jordan area (Cheung Lok St, next to Sai Kung St).
The environment is just normal localized restaurant but the price is slight on above average side.
I usually go there with friends for late night snacks.

I suggest that for the event on coming Friday, we better go to Toh Lee.
Bro Dejavu, would it cause much trouble for you to book a table?

I think it has some relationship with the old 兜記。My friend just told me that it's difficult to book a table.  They also have two time slots 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm.  And it might not be too suitable for wine gathering as the place isn't that comfortable.

I have booked a table at Toh Lee but can cancel any time if so desired..

It really a problem, water will condense at the rear wall so keep your wine at least one inch from that side.
