Providing what your visitors want to see
If you want many visitors to come to your website, to stay on it longer than 10 seconds, and to come back for a repeat visit, you have to give them what they want. Content and information that is relevant and interesting to your audience that is requirement number one. If you don't have that, you can forget about the rest. Also, make sure your site stays up to date. Nothing is more offputting to web users than coming to a site with old, outdated information. And make your site easy to use and easy to navigate.
