If for business use, try lexmark... it is quite heavy duty..

Most heavy duty laser printer may still be Xerox, but the toner cost will be sky high. This is only for their higher end products (ie not OEM).
My company has many Xerox N32 and they are still working after 7/8 years, and mostly trouble free.

I would go for HP - better support and driver (for all platform) - you can't get wrong with HP!
Toner cost is 1 thing - you have to watch out for fuzzer and other component as well (not cheap).
