This kind of style is just NORMAL in esp. the US news media
Local HK news outlets should adopt to that open style too, but TVB/ATV are IMO too conservative in certain values in news/media

HK is a melting pot. People should respect different cultural values and styles in the professional workplace

No, unfortunately that does not work in Chinese stations.
Openness in communication is just not a Chinese thing... totally contradicts Chinese values

Even Chinese stations overseas (eg. KTSF San Francisco) cannot adopt the western newsroom style
Therefore it's always boring to watch Chinese news programs anywhere in the world

係呀，中文台主播比較保守…內地中央台d主播報新聞真係超悶…

不過香港算好…有線好早就將新聞改革…重視pesentation…主播同主播之間增強了互動性…依家tvb都響d方面加強左…
中文新聞依家已經冇咁悶，不過始終跟西方文化唔同…
我覺得已經相當不錯
