很久無返來談下囉, 舊果個topic也不能用返

3.35買入中國銀行, 明天A股開市看形勢出貨, Penisula 兄, 我記得你同我一樣都係3.35附近入貨, 你出左未呢 ?

其他兄弟又怎樣看3988 呢 ?

的確, 3988在A股(601988)已超越$5, 上星期在A股更大升20%有多, 但H股有一些折扣, 跟1398一樣, 短期我會看這星期內可否在3.65估出, 然後再買一些較中行優質的中資金融股.

You also bought it at a very good price, Brother Jimmy. But my personal feeling is that 3988 is not quite enthusastic in moving its business forward, comparing to its competitors. So that's why I wish to sell it recently and buy other related stock instead.

We could discuss it further here.

$3.84入，相比其他三保五行真係失威，不過我都會再等等，希望佢追落後。

繼三保五行之後有冇心水？下輪到邊隻？我買左中信國金183，同樣係中資銀行+(A+H)。

We are now facing a very extra-ordinary stock market, so we have to act in a special, not too rational way. 3988 surely does not worth its price now. But if we bought it at a lower prce, why not wait for a while, and see how it goes. Sell it when you see it has lost its motion to move higher.

I bought it at 3.8 and I prefer to wait for a bit longer.

You might try 1398 rather than 3988 for long term investment. As i could see at this moment, 3988 is less enthusatic in extending its business, comparing to 3988. One more extra benefit of buying 1398 at this stage is that 1398 will probably become blue chips after the Feburary meeting on the profolios of HSI.

For HSBC, it is actually a well-developed company. Stable but little profit you could make.

I have neither experience and opinion in buying funds in other undeveloped market.

If you have a weak heart, DON'T play as it will be very volatile.

My philosophy is set aside the funds you can afford to lose all without affecting your standard of living. In this regards, I have set aside @HK$1m as a sum I can speculate.

You are right, Peninsula. I think you could still speculate some "exciting" stock, but at the same time most of your fund is allocated in those stable and potential stocks such as Banks in China and insurance company.

By the way, you are so rich !!!

不太算, 跟其他5行比較, 中行無論在市盈市漲率都是最低, 可能是在外匯資產中打了一點折扣吧.

I am @40 so still a long way to retire but already dreaming ... I have been lucky that some of my investments worked out fine (but not ALL). I have lost maybe @HK$600K (mostly in stocks/warrants) but made back much more (mainly via properties).

At your age, I speculate a lot and lost a lot too. But I need to pay and learn! You can afford to try different investments until you decide to marry and have kids!

Yes, I agree with you. But basically I am a quite conservative investor and mainly invest in blue chips. Perhaps I should also try other relatively high risk stocks before I get marreid after which I need a secure source of return.

The equation of high risk high return is always true. I used to buy warrants but almost always lose. It is so hard to play. Properties saved me!
