This Sat, I played in mountain course and I concetrated on the solid hitting. Maybe I am too concentrated, my driver becomes so terrible, I have missed 6 tee off out of 9 holes

Second 9 holes, I back to basic and trying to forget everything only playing. It seems getting better, but there are still 3 missing. The score is over 100

Good thing is I still got 2 par and 1 birdie which gave me energy

The usual course now I played is Kau Sai Chau (KSC) and it is a good course, escpially in North Course there is a signature hole #14 which is famous in Asia

KSC North course, 16+14 not too bad la (sometimes I have similar result

).
If you are NOT familiar to KSC North course, it is real difficult, and easy to waste some stroke....

How is your last Palm Island Game

I want to play there and maybe stay overnight, is it good idea..

You guys are lucky living in Asia, play golf all year around. I think you guys know in Toronto just had our bigges snow storm in this year. Cold and Windy, feel like didn't wear anything when I walk out!

Hi kkwong,
I play 9x in palm island last time.
Course is good and nice hotel as well. It is good to go with your girl friend.
But not so convenience to go outside & DS city is abit 雜.
I perfer long island if go with family or girl friends.
農曆年 will play at Oriental in Zhuhai, only cost 630 per game , good price in new year day !

Hi hhkk,
Too bad. In winter time , I visit some indoor driving range but it's not fun.
But I heard that some courses still open on Jan this year because
of the late snowing this year.

You can go to Ski woo...

Whistler & Blackcomb is very good place and I ski there several times and still want to go back. Hopefully will be next year...

I think I must plan to try Palm Island very soon, especially as your said overnight..

Without playing golf and practice more than a month due to Chinese Lunar New Year (and also my business trips), yesterday I have finally spared some time to practice in a drivin-range

It is only a hour practice, but it is a good warm up before my Sunday's game

During the practice, everything is fine except the fairway wood. The feeling is so strange, and I am not so confident with it

It is better to forget it during Sunday's game

Sunday's game was terrible

The first three holes I totally couldn't feel my rhythm and it kept raining. Eventhough it was only little rain, it made me playing like a fresh player

The most terrible things was you didn't know whether the stroke could be good or bad and there was NO planning at all through the whole game

The last 9 nine holes was gettting better and the rain stopped. And at least, I got two PAR, but the total score was 107

I have to play more regularly to build up my confidence again...

This weekend played again in South course. The weather was good, cloudy, no rain, but it was very windy

.

South Course is still under abnormal condition due to the construction work of East Course, but getting better. I found some shape of East Course is coming out. I believed the construction should be completed in the end of 2007

.

Due to abnormal condition, the South course standard is now 67 instead of the original 69. The game started too good in the first hole (Hole 10 to start under the abnormal condition now), and I was 2 on and 2 putt and got par in the first hole

But it became a pressure which made me the following holes NO good

The whole game was better than last time in North Course, it was more stable but still NOT much confidence, especially to my driver

The final score was 92/67 (25 over) and got 4 par which is getting better

Moreover, I have got par in the index 1 (Hole No. 3) which is a long Par 4 hole and difficult to me (I must use 3 strokes to on green

). I have successfully 3 on and 1 putt got par.

After the game, there are some points to be noted:
1) The driver is still NOT stable, and especially it is important to build up the confidence again (maybe practice more is required)
2) The chipping is also getting better but still cannot relax myself, it is important to relax and relax....
3) I need to read the weather conditions more, especially under rainy day or windy day which is important to justify which clubs should I use. And it can stronly show its effect on the green as well (the great wind even caused the ball rolling slower in the green which I have under estimated

)

Coming weekend, I will have a game in North Course which is a real challenge

Hopefully, the weather will be good for the game

Just two days before the game, I found my back muscle got problem again

. It was NOT seriously, but it definitely could cause me to give up the game if it cannot recover quickly. Fortunately, it recovered 90% in the morning, and I could enjoy a very nice game in North Course

.

The weather forecast was raining, but finally it was heavy mist and I couldn't see more than 100m when I tee off in the Hole #1.

Because of my back muscle problem, I was trying to slow down my swing to avoid any further damage to my back muscle. But it became an advantage to me, because I got my rhythm very quickly

Hole #1 started not so good as usual (because I didn't take any practice before the game

), but Hole #2 I have already got a Birdie

The game continued very well, my short game was under control, and the approaching shot was also good. I have several Birdie and PAR chance, but 3 of them were missed by hitting the inner edge of the hole

Finally, I have got only 1 Birdie and 3 PAR, but the important thing was I have only got 3 Double Bogey, all others I could finish in Bogey. And the final result was 88/72

The game was so enjoyable, because I can feel my swing, and I found my rhythm. The best was the approaching shot which was high on-green percentage and it saved at least one stroke in most of time

Hopefully, I can keep my rhythm continously in my coming game in China next week

I haven't played in China for a long time and my friend told me it is a nice golf course. But the bad thing is I cannot bring my own clubs this time

大陸Golf Trip 因事取消，未能成行．已經好耐冇係大陸打波　

不過 Easter Holiday 可能有兩埸波打．希望Keep 到 D 水準喇　

但係，通常會希望愈大失望愈大

復活節又有波打　

第一場係＂南場＂，以為好easy，結果當然係唔多理想（９０／６７）２３over。

其實第一個 Hole (Hole#10 - Par 4　因為現在正在起東場，從後9打) 已經打PAR，結果壓力增加　

，Hole#11 (Par 3 Hole) 同Hole#12 (Par 4 Hole) 都打失咗要攞Double Bogey

　好彩馬上收拾心情係 Hole#13 救回Bogey，其實Tee-off 得唔多理想，有少少Slide 咗，仲耍去咗個高位，幸好支fairway wood 打到 green 邊，一chip 兩putt，起碼救番個Bogey，唔駛咁傷

　跟住個Hole#14 係 long par 4 (又係Index 2 ) 都OK，3 on 2 putt。不過去到 Hole#15 (南場唯一既Par 5 Hole)又失準

，第3桿選擇play safe，但結果第4桿100 yard 既approaching shoot 竟然短左

，仲要chip得唔好，要5 on，最慘係仲加上3 putt，打左8捍

去到 Hole#16 係 long Par 3 Hole - 198 yards 仲要過水(南埸既魔鬼洞) 唸都唔唸就攞支fairway wood 打，點知中得好鬼靓 over 咗少少，fairway wood 真係好難停到個波

，結果都係Bogey。

其後的 Hole 都係打得一般，特別係 approching shoot 都打得唔好

　只好當係之後北場熱身

KSC - Sounth Course is under construction due to East Course, therefore it is only 67 in standard (instead of the original 69). Two Par 4 holes has been temporary changed into Par 3 holes. The challenge is even less than before.

90 is not a bad result, but I should be better if I could perform better

South Course is NOT difficult because most of holes are short and Not much hazard area to go over, therefore if you don't have double mistake, you can save your bogey or sometime get Par with 1 putt

If you can practice more, I think it should be OK to you this year

, you have 8 more months wor

大陸高球之旅終於成行

係南京打左兩日波，雖然有點冷，幸好天氣非常好

可惜是沒有估計到可以打兩場，所以冇帶自己球桿

第一天到鍾山高爾夫球場，地點近中山陵，風景很不錯

鍾山的難度唔算大，沒有太多過水的地方　

用朋友的 Mizuno Intage Driver 同 Wilson 既套裝球道木桿和鐵桿（不過冇左支８號，７號又唔同牌子

）

可能知道唔係自己既球桿，個 Swing 要放慢的，　好快已經找出感覺，　特別係支 Driver 打得好穩定　

不過球道木桿就完全無 feel ，　感覺奇怪　

球道的草保養得好好，　個波好似浮在草上，　感覺易打的　

　而果嶺的草竟然同 KSC 非常相似（都係慢 green）令我的 putt 如有神助　

最後以 96 桿完成，　在唔熟悉場地，　算係唔錯成績

點解咁耐都唔post第２埸，好簡單，因為實在太慘烈，所以都唔係好想記住　

第２場去左叫太陽島既高爾夫球場，距離南京成個幾鐘車程。會所設備比較簡陋，球場都算ＯＫ。價錢就非常平，３佰人仔包Ｇｒｅｅｎ　Ｆｅｅ，球車同球僮（連貼士）。

睇落個場應該唔難打，點知上Ｇｒｅｅｎ就死哂，個Ｇｒｅｅｎ跟本停唔到個波（連推都停唔到），　Ｈｏｍｅ　Ｃｏｕｒｓｅ個朋友都叫救命。佢話平時都快得無咁跨張。結果每個ｈｏｌｅ最少３至４推。

原本已經係快ｇｒｅｅｎ，可能又剛剛剪草，快上加快，總桿數係１１５

賽後總結，其實都唔係太差，如果每個ｈｏｌｅ減１桿推桿，１８ｈｏｌｅ都成１８桿，即係都係１００桿以內。

唔好意思，真係要自我安慰，否則會萬念俱灰。

最近出 trip 曼谷, 可以抽空打場波, 係Alpine Golf Club, 個場非常正, 有少少坡度, 有大樹有水, 仲要個 fairway 保養得好好

聽聞 Johnnie Walker 係處舉辦左兩次比賽.

因為唔知有冇得打, 所以無帶私家桿, 只係用租桿, Iron 都OK喎, 竟然有我以前用過既 T-Zoid Comp (不過係新款)

不過支 fairway wood 就完全唔掂, 睇見都唔想用

Driver 就係 Callaway 既 Hawk Eye, 打得唔多好, 成日左 hook , 好彩都唔係太厲害

始終對個場唔熟, 又唔係用開套桿, 比較慢熱.

個場難度唔大, 但唔小心入左的大樹底就慘, 我就係咁浪費左起碼 3-4 桿係樹底

另外一個特色係有幾個 bunker 大到好似沙灘一樣, 好鬼搞野

整場波唔算好, 最慘冇左支 fairway wood (打左2桿, 已決定唔再打, 實在支桿感覺好怪

) 搞到的 long par 4 同 par 5 洞全部用多起碼1-2桿

推桿都OK, 個 green 係快 green 但係可以停得到, 有的坡度, 唔算難但一推就唔易, 只係得一個洞成功.

最後總成績要 102 桿完成

不過個場真係好靚, 希望有機會再去打波啦

There is already more than a month I haven't played golf due to my busy work and my partner also has his own problem.

I do think I have to pratice a little bit and then play my golf again, and I will continue to post my golf experience here to share with everybody

Very nice to get some feedback. You give me power to continue my game and my post.

Thanks for the advice. In my last Bangkok trip, I just rent the clubs so I didn't seriously check it.

But the fairway woods as I posted was terrible

My previous T-zoid Irons is Japan made and R Flex which is good and I have played for 4-5 years

Now, I have changed to Bridgestone (2nd hand) Iron with steel shaft which can give me more feeling in my swing

(but the distance is NOT much improved

)

If you do have any experience to share, you are always welcome to post here.

My major problem now:
1) Distance is NOT good enough

- Driver: 210-220 yard
- 5 Iron: 150-160 yard
- 7 Iron: 130-140 yard

2) Practice NOT enough
- very seldom go to driving range now

(Before, I went there once a week which can keep my swing very stable)

3) NO confidence in my fairway wood:
- Due to my distance problem, the fairway wood becomes critical to my score

and then the pressure is coming

Recently, I didn't play regularly due to my busy work load (and my buddy is also busy)

But before, if I played well it is around 96-100 in KSC North Course; if NOT well it is around 101-110

I believe my set up is OK, I have my own regular set up steps and it doesn't take too much time.
i) check the Tee area and the direction should go
ii) put the ball and tee in the Tee area
iii) check my direction again (locate the target point)
iv) practice swing (usually once)
v) Go and hit the ball

How is your game, and where is your home course

I am NOT that old, so my distance I believe should be longer and better

But your suggestion of driver to hit 50 - 220 is new to me

usually, I use 9 Iron or P Iron to practice the short game only, and I will definitely try your suggestion

In HK, my home is too small for my swing, but I am trying to close my eye to hit the ball with P Iron in Drving Range, is it a good way to practice

How is the course in Canada, they are good

我的意思係打球時左盤骨不可向後廷...而是用右身體拉動..左邊盤骨身是直的.....盤骨一鬆就會散力..你睇下 TIGER 個姿態真係好靚...

Thanks a lot, I think I understand what you mean and it is what I am trying to practice recently to keep my weight always inside, NO matter up swing (from left toe to right toe) and down swing (from right toe to left toe). Is it Correct

不要執著於你的上身, 揮桿或手...應著重於下半身的腳內側平衡..原因是將人的意念著重於下身..你整個
swing 就會放鬆..就會感受到 free 的感覺..很快上身就會同下身結合..明白嗎..

係南京出TRIP成個星期，亦把握機會打左兩場波。

第1場係銀杏湖打，有人講銀杏湖係南京最靚既高爾夫球場。我3年前打過１次，但因為是係十－月份打，有D樹已經落葉, 草亦發黃，所以冇乜感覺。

　今次既感覺完全唔同，球場係靠住湖邊而建，湖邊都有垂楊，樹木茂密，雖然我唔敢話係南京最靚，但一定係其中一個。

銀杏湖唔算太難打，不過唔少過水既地方（因為係湖邊），一唔小心就落水罰桿。

　

因為已經停左成4個月冇打波所以有D擔心。另外自己又懶冇帶自己私家球桿，所以第一個洞打得一般(3 over)　

　但係好似好快已經有感覺，係第2洞打左個par　

　跟住都算發揮正常，大部份洞以bogey完成　

　只係偶有失手打左落水，同其中兩個洞犯上雙錯誤，以至打出4 over　

　不過同時亦拿下3個par，1 個birdie（係par 3 洞）補番條數　

　最終以98桿完成，算係非常滿意成績

第2場係南京太陽島，就係上次慘遭滑鐵盧，比個超快green玩死果個場

雖然已經係幾個月之前既事，但印象太深刻。

尼日天氣非常好(對打高球人仕)，天陰無太陽。

由於上次恐怖經歷，我同主場既朋友都係推桿上變得非常小心，而且有好幾個洞唔單只坡度大，仲要個旗位放係極難推位置，其中兩個洞我既推桿方向要跟球洞成接近90度去推。

好彩既係個green唔算太快，冇出現好似上一場失控情況

但今場既driver打得唔穩定，還幸個場既fairway夠濶，冇大錯誤。

最後成績係100桿完成，只拿到一個par。

總結係driver打得唔好，又冇支fairway wood補番

但係利用支6號桿去補支7，8號桿算係效果滿意。
