I see... may be i have been lucky... I only apply for 2-3 hands for many IPOs in 2006, I think I got over 90% chance getting 1 hand, so i will just apply for 3 hands this time...

10% will break even. I may not sell on day 1 as selling pressure is too big. I can wait unit 25 - 30% rises.

Don't think selling pressure will be great for this IPO.

3 million + 700K shares

Are they charging 8 days interest instead of the normal 7 as Phillip quoted me $7K+ interest for the 3 million shares financing?

I got the gut feel that Group B will come out ahead this time, and I would expect allocation rate to be very good as people were deterred by last Friday's big fall. If I get 1.5%, that will be very good.

After crawback, the over-subscription will be around 80X. So the hitting rate is only 1.0+%.
If applying too little, it will be a waste of handling fee and time.

阜豐料超購400倍

今年新股氣勢遠遜去年底，直至阜豐集團（0546）終再起波瀾。阜豐昨日截止孖展認購，綜合十間證券行的數據所得，阜豐錄得127.5億元孖展額，初步估計其公開部分超額認購逾400倍。市場人士指出，是次反應較預期熱烈，相信在僧多粥少情況下，阜豐首日可望升超過30%。

信誠證券聯席董事連敬涵指，阜豐孖展反應比預期好，錄得17億元，估計首日可升逾30%。他指，一間證券行的孖展已有「十幾二十倍」超額認購，在市場供不應求情況下，阜豐股價勢必「搶高」。他又指，由於阜豐較熱門，該行提供最高九成五孖展，息率為6.3厘，息率雖然偏高，但亦有相當多的客人認購。

另耀才證券總經理陳啟峰表示，阜豐反應算好，估計由於近日股市牛皮，買賣氣氛一般，故較多散戶選擇認購新股。他指出，耀才借出近10億元孖展，高過最初預期。

輝立表示，阜豐孖展反應「瘋狂」，因該行所提供的息率並不算平，且較之前兩隻新股美維控股（3313）及武夷藥業（1889）所做息率為高，該行最後借出孖展25.5億元。有證券行稱，因為阜豐反應太熱烈，要為「大飛」孖展設上限至4,000萬元。相反有證券行指，阜豐孖展反應雖較美維及武藥佳，但新股氣氛較去年底時弱。阜豐今截止招股，下月八日上市，每股售價1.73至2.23元，集資最多8.92億元。

內地最大味精原材料谷氨酸生產商阜豐集團(0546-HK)，今午截止公開認購，據證券行資料顯示，至今已錄得高達127.5億元孖展認購，相當於公開發售部分超額認購142倍，市場預期最終超額達400倍，凍結資金達357億元，成今年認購反應最佳新股；至於配售部分，消息稱已獲8-10倍超額。

630X over-subscription -> 126X after crawback -> 0.79% hitting rate.
So, the share price may need to rise 13.+% in order to break even if using margin.

My calculation :

1% allocation - breakeven @ 10% rise
0.5% allocation - breakeven @ 20% rise
0.25% allocation - breakeven @ 40% rise
