this is one of the side effects of the development of modernization.
to sustain a service, they cannot simply produce what is just enough supply to meet the demand. they always have to produce excess supply just in case there are suddenly more to consume.
i agree that the left-over food is wasteful but if you donate them to those in need, and if there's a problem coming up with the food, the food provider may end up being sued and the insurance claim loss will be far more than just dumping the food. 作者: bgfantasy 時間: 2007-4-11 13:16

no matter you eat all or eat less, those in the 3rd world are still starving. makes no different! why?
