HSBC and HS closed at 5 pm today. I applied today with HSBC and yesterday with HS with no problem.

Of course not. I had 3 applications with margin under 3 different names - 500K, 600K, & 2 million shares. If I only had one account, I may as well combined into one 3 million application, after all, the allocation % for group B is the same for both 2 and 3 million.

No use duplicate application. Not worth.

My friend is working in a very very senior position in one of the major banks in HK. And he says all the banks have received an instruction fm the authority that the all need to find out those duplicate applicants for IPO shares. So, the bankers are doing something now and should be sharing applicants' info later.

But should be OK if using accts in diff names.

As you said, 20-30% gain may just enough to cover the margin cost but also give up the gain applying with the cash principal.

We used around $20M by margin.... But if the outcome is 1000 times over-subscription, we may need to eat white nut if raise is only 30%.
