A pair of black JC Abel on this eB listing
In like-new condition, again very hard to find at eB given such starting bid

The listing is still active as we speak, so it would be interesting to see what kind of final bid this pair would end up with
(UPDATE 1-31: listing ended with final bid of U$174.50)

As to why JC has discontinued this style and supplanted it with the Romy, I have no idea
But truth to be told, the Romy looks much worse. Anyone here agrees?

a. Toe box depth: Romy's is a bit shallower (and slightly wider)
b. Heel and heel breast position: Romy's is pushed towards the rear, just below the heel seat
Abel's however is more appropriate and looks more classic even from the sides
c. Heel height availability: Abel's is fixed AFAIK, Romy has at least two (85 and 110)

Once you get a good grasp of (b) it will be very easy to distinguish between both
