f2.8 is only better at f2.8 lor, but the 4 stop IS on the f/4 works better all the time bor.  The f4 is also a little sharper and lighter as well.  

但f/2.8又真係有佢既功能...
O岩O岩連續3日每日舉住支小白IS+5D&直倒最少4個鐘之後, 而家對手差唔多不舉... 但又覺得物有所值...
PS: 原來奧運場館既攝影師席係唔可以用3腳架喎, 不過, 觀眾席就無人理... 所以下次都係會用支小白IS...

When did you buy the 2.8 IS?  I am sure you will like it.  70-200 f/2.8 IS is one of the best lens for longer range indoor sport events.  I guess you can take out the 直倒 and use only one batt ...

cannot la... with the hand grip, it's more flexible... i can change from landscape to protrait very quickly... the competition won't wait for me...

可以, 只係唔可以用tripod...
