Those mini-bonds are backed by different financial products, except CDO and CDS, they still might have some net value at maturation.

The questions should be asked is
1/  Who allows this kind of financial product to be marketed ?
2/  What are the procedures taking to verify this products rating ?

By the way, I am very disappointed that HK financial officials allow European style warrant to be marketed, they should only allow American style.  European style is close to worthless as a hedging tool.  While American style warrant follows the market, the number of warrant in HK are mostly European style and not American style, that did told us some story already.

If they felt misleaded by the bank.
They should go to prosecute the bank.
May be the bank will settle it with them "outside the court"..


And I truly believed that it is better for someone to step down, as the confidence in HKGovt financial officials is dented.

曾俊華更斷言﹕「至於說要政府包底，我相信用納稅人的錢，去補償投資損失，相信一般的納稅人是不會接受的！」
不過，一名迷你債事主陳先生指出，前晚與民建聯開會時，根本無人提出要求政府「百分百包底」，但昨日示威時民建聯卻展示有關標語。他認為民建聯的意見不能代表事主們的立場。
