繼上月底黃大仙發現兩名內地智障男童被遺棄後，警方昨晨在尖沙咀街頭又發現一名內地智障女童，是近兩周內在港發現的第三名內地智障兒童。警方不排除她是被人由內地帶來港蓄意遺棄街頭，已交由社會福利署照顧。

事發於昨晨八時許，一名女警巡經海防道近廣東道時，發現一名女童在街頭遊蕩，於是趨前查問，發現女童只懂講簡單普通話，不懂說廣東話，身上亦沒有任何身份證明文件，懷疑被人遺棄。

女童年約九歲，身高一點三公尺，短髮，身穿米黃色褲及黑皮鞋，警方將女童帶署調查，其後再召救護車將她送往醫院檢驗，證實她健康良好，但懷疑她智力有問題，暫交社署安排住宿，暫列作發現遊蕩兒童案處理。
