I know someone who works in SZ earned 3 million in 4 years.
But his company suffer lost of customers, poor quality products and returned goods.
I don't feel that's uncommon in China.

How can you be-friend with one that turn a blind eye to the sufferings of June-4 and still praise their leaders ?
All my friends have integrity, they have good senses of right and wrong.

香港朋友对内地的认知大多停留在媒体报道，很少有经常来大陆走走看看的。对大陆存在很多偏见..  wrong, I had worked on and off in China for many years.  The only people I met was two extremes,  and majority of them are irresponsible.  The other extreme is hardworking but their turnover rate is extremely high.

( 所谓“6.4” ) =  this is a very insulting phrase.

You think China is still " Marxism, Lenin and Mao " ?
And you still think Mao's preaching is worthwhile ? Or is it still practised ?
If not, then is it some fundamental fault in the system ?

There is an old Chinese saying, " People get insulted when their behaviour invite insults "
That's why so many people demostrated, and same reason why you find defensive attitude towards your post.

.... Yeah...Bismarck united the German states, they should have independent thoughts about what and how it takes to make a great State... not only reading Karl Marx XD XD

Save only those you can.. For those you cannot, simply give up...
You do not have any obligation for their existence, and the same as you to them.

There is no point in arguing for a perfect person or a perfect society.
That kind of society only exist in fairy tales, heaven or Marx's..
If you have time read one more " The Selfish Gene ".  I think there is a translated version.

Even an imperfect person can hope for a perfect society.. ..
We moves the society forward, not trying to withhold it or moving it backwards.
If you did not record or acknowledge what has happened and record it as accordingly,
I really doubt the intention.

The important point of a free society is :
1. Are you free and being respected to voice your opinion, without being afraid of prosecution.
( Note: you must not mistaken this with libel, slander and malicious acts )
2. Will the government be limited in power by a written set of code.  ( constitution being respected, rule of law being respected)
3. Are information free to flow ( freedom of press, union and masses )

Nope... I did not buy those magazines and newspaper, that is a waste of money.  And I mock those who buy them or quote them ....

I browsed his blog/webpage...  there are some more fake messages pretending that it was written by the cardinal..  I wonder why he did not quote those.    I presume at least the level of discussion is higher here.

Nice to know that you are thinking.
