我認為大家唔需要過份擔心。東亞銀行應該問題不大。

東亞銀行    發表聲明稱，在網上有關其不穩的謠傳絕非事實，並已立即知會警方及金融管理局    。

東亞銀行個 crisis management 就差，PR工作做得屎！

1) 昨日有傳言出現後，未有重視和跟進，作出聲明。

2) 今日記招會，又衹講述相關貸款情況，未有說明是否有投資上的損失

3) 同時，又沒有就存戶提款作出任何既安排保証，使存戶放心

結果就係：存戶繼續排隊，未有因記招的聲明而減少！

尋日 inter-bank 拆借都冇大起伏，短期拆借正常添。

BEA 係財務好健全既錢行，我對佢有信心。

當年 BCC事件，實際於80年代未期已出現問題。香港政府、銀行同業都早已知。當時 inter-bank borrowing，BCC 係拆唔到港紙。

我當年將公司既 loan portfolio 把 BCC 分幾年 fade out。

金管局同銀監都落左唔少功夫架！

In general, I think it is reasonably safe to place deposits with note issuing banks.  HSBC is one of them.

Other than that, I would also believe Citibank is a good option.  Its management is world class.

The only reason for me to choose BOC is because of my belief that the Chinese government would not let BOC have bank run whatsoever!

I am not sure if you have referral when having your account applied.

I agree that AIG, Lehman Brothers are also world class company. Yet when you have experience with them, you may find out the differences in risk management in terms of credit risk assessment to customers, leverage on investment management...  On the other hands, they are also in different category.  Lehman Brothers is i-bank, AIG is in insurance.  They are subject to different set of accounting/financial reporting standards, ordinances, compliance & commissions.

I see.  I only have credit card a/c with HSBC as I've long found that it is too time consuming to operate bank accounts with the bank (that's why I cancelled my accounts 20 years ago.

簿仔 d 錢多數係剩低既買餸錢 or 仔女既孝順錢。
