Charlie introduces us to the world of Hotel Babylon - a world of fantasy and indulgence, where you can be whatever you want to be, provided you have the cash to pay for it. Charlie is interviewed by Rebecca for the job of Deputy Manager, but arch rival Anna emerges as a clever and formidable opponent.

To prove his worth, Charlie must manipulate a world-famous rock band into spending as much money as possible - which is proving unusually tricky. A suspicious limo driver, Pete, adds to his worries, claiming to know Charlie - does he have something to conceal? Meanwhile, Rebecca is mysteriously hiding out at the hotel and someone clearly has it in for her.

今集兩者卻同時出現於「星級酒店」，到底他們會如何面對此挑戰？總經理Rebecca神秘地躲藏在酒店內，究竟所為何事？ Rebecca下令Charlie監察一名有自殺傾向的客人，避免他再次自殺。至於Tony，則要承受自己錯認客人為妓女的後果。同時，Rebecca下令更改他的職銜，令他的自信心大受打擊。

一眾職員為一名退休女員工慶祝結婚五十週年，令Rebecca不禁要反思自己的婚姻。Pete因為掌握著Charlie的秘密，對他的要求愈見苛刻……

Charlie explains to us that image is everything in the hotel business, and if there's anything that tarnishes it, it's a hotel full of hookers and suicides. Meanwhile, Rebecca is mysteriously hiding out at the hotel and someone clearly has it in for her.

Unfortunately for Charlie, Rebecca puts him in charge of keeping a suicidal guest alive and Tony has to deal with the repercussions of mistaking a legitimate guest for a hooker. But this is the least of Tony's worries – Rebecca's rebranding of his job title rocks his confidence further.

Whilst the staff help an elderly ex-worker celebrate her 50th wedding anniversary, Rebecca is forced to reflect on her own marriage. Pete, meanwhile, is becoming more demanding as he threatens to divulge whatever it is he knows about Charlie's mysterious past.

A wealthy Russian student begs Charlie to help her organise a green card wedding at the hotel, but it is only when Tony reminds Charlie of how much cash they could make from delivery scams that Charlie agrees - realising it's the one way he can raise the money to keep Pete away from Rebecca.

Finding an agreeable suitor is easy enough, but can they convince the student's billionaire father and moreover, Rebecca, that the wedding is genuine?

Rebecca is caught up on a personal level in the whirlwind of wedding plans, but it's an obsessive compulsive guest who makes her realise that hiding in the hotel isn't going to solve her own relationship problems.

Charlie gets enough cash to pay off Pete, but Rebecca has become suspicious and takes the initiative to delve a little into Charlie's employment history.

t's not just guests who are affected by the lure and implicit sexiness of a five-star hotel - it's also the staff. A “fatalistic” collision with a wealthy American businessman sends Anna into a delusional spin - she’ll stop at nothing to get this man that she's after, even if it doesn mean breaching the “strictly no guest/staff relationships' rule. Rebecca is on her back.

When Jackie reveals that she has a date, Charlie is happy to let his bruised ego be massaged by a beautiful female guest. But the guest is not all she seems - in more ways than one. James and Gino come to blows over a couple whose stay is the result of a competition win. Rebecca confronts Pete about Charlie's past but is distracted by a surprise visit from her husband Mark. Charlie is unsettled - just how much does Rebecca know about his past?

Back together with her husband, Rebecca's uncharacteristic good mood does everything to unsettle the staff - especially Charlie. Below stairs, we witness a world the guests never normally get to see - the immigrant labour that really makes the place work. A raid on the hotel by Immigration officers forces Jackie into a dilemma when she's reminded by the officials about her own immigration status.

Meanwhile, Charlie is asked by a guest to help cover up an affair she's been conducting at the hotel. Rebecca takes a hard line with Charlie, refusing to let him intervene, and disarms him by implying that she knows something about his fraudulent past. A showdown is inevitable once Rebecca realises he's gone against her world. In a fight to save his job, Charlie manages to turn the tables on Rebecca.

It's the night shift and Rebecca has left Charlie in charge whilst she escapes for an uncharacteristic romantic break with her husband. He has Anna for company, much to their mutual dissatisfaction. When Anna is convinced she's heard a guest murder his wife in one of the bedrooms, Charlie refuses to take her seriously.

That is, until the graveyard shift beds in, and a sequence of further spooky events, including the mystery disappearance of the hotel's security guard, forces Charlie to take the matter into his own hands. But when ambulances are required on the scene, Charlie is left with no choice but to call Rebecca - can she soothe the problem and manage to convince her husband that she can manage a career as well as a marriage?

When £3,000 goes missing from one of the guests' rooms, Rebecca comes down hard on the staff and everyone is a suspect, facing instant dismissal if found guilty. Riled and suddenly untrusting, she calls in an auditor - much to the distress of Gino and Jackie.

Meanwhile, Derek manages to persuade Rebecca, via Charlie, to interview his wayward son for a job at the hotel. Something Derek says, however, makes Charlie realise the awful truth - that Derek must be the hotel thief! Rebecca must maintain her professional stance and hand Derek his P45 and the anguish doesn't end there: a hotel guest, who's had less than a perfect experience, surprises everyone by revealing himself to be a hotel inspector - with a damning threat!

The inspector's report is serious and Rebecca is on the warpath: the loss of a star will mean loss of jobs. The surprise arrival of the hotel chain's European Director (Adrian) - who, Rebecca knows, is here for more than purely business reasons - unsettles the staff further, but he proves to be only the start of their worries: a star witness is being housed at the hotel during the course of an infamous gangland trial.

Tony is nervous about the risk to staff and Charlie has the unenviable task of looking after the guest. Whilst Tony attempts to forge a mutiny amongst the staff, Rebecca finds herself being wooed by Adrian's offer of promotion abroad. So when her husband arrives for a surprise anniversary dinner organised by the staff, Rebecca is forced to choose between her career and Hotel Babylon. Before she can make up her mind, gun shots ring out!
