There are so many reasons why she asks you to wait.  May be she is waiting for a better offer in the next 3 months.  Who knows?

You are right that when the desire dies down, you may not love her that much. However, if it is the case, then it may be good to you since your "love' is not so intense since you coudl not wait for 3 months.   Taking a step back, if you still love her very much after 3 months and she is still available to you with a special agreement, then go ahead.   A chinese myth saying "not been to Yellow River, your heart will not die".  If you have found a good target to sink , go ahead and enjoy. Make sure you have a bottom line on $ committed and it does not affect much of your family/work obligations.  Once you get tired or bored, you wil be afloat.
