我都聽到那個新移民的phone-in conversation. However, I have different opinion. The salary tax revenue of HK Government counts only less than 10% of the inflows, the major part of the revenue is from Stamp duty, sales of land, etc. Even though those new immigrants who are maily low income class, they do not pay much Salary tax, they have contribution to the GDP of HK.

They should also a a share of the refund. Also, I don't agree with the cash handout totally. There are some other better ways to use this hugh amount of money.e.g., buy back the 2 cross-horbour tunnels, built a small amount of 居屋, etc.
