BMW engine oil Problem

seen you have mentioned "BMW service" in every single message.
i encountered the same thing b4 , but only got fixed in outside proshops (gasket problem).
so forget BMW (just a dealer) service & opt for outside, esp. if yours a used one , not brand new bought from them . \ie, warranty expired.

they charge way too much but their mechanics are ... average, c what i mean ?

take it as an advice... cheers.

i dont mean B4 , i mean before ...
sime darby is big, but the mechanic who handles your car may just a new guy from nowhere.
tats the problem  with those dealer's workshop.

hi,
that was 3 years almost ago, tats a 318i of my wife.
i prefer jap. esp. toyota & honda.

now i got a elysion & a landcruiser cygnus.

however i 'm not that agree that an engine should consume that much e/g oil
per 10k kms... though..

here it is , direct honda 's answer to alphard & elgrand ,
it runs on a VCM ( variable cylinder management) engine ,
in simple terms is it cuts 3 cylinders out of the V6 down when cruising at higher speeds for fuel economy, quite happy with it so far...

average it runs at $1.5-1.8 @km.  so far.
bear in mind all 6 cylinders are on when in stop & go traffic...
quite smart .. in a way.

yeah, local dealer didnt got this so called flagship model from honda JP..
i get this from gray market 280k for a 04 model V6 3.0 .

there are 2.4 & 3.0 models available in hk now, getting popular...

should be, but for a used JP import used in a good condition,
thk. it 's worth it.
most parallel importers even register new cars in JP prior to shipping out to hk, making it into a "used" status  in order to gain import duty cuts for reg. in hk. ... fair enough...

but mine is a REAL used "used: . hahah.

ok, if you insist on having a compression test , & they do it.
they 'll still find an 似是而非 reason to present to you.

these tech. means for them is a "backdoor" & for you . will continues to be a cat chasing it 's own tail.....

engine oil evaporates in an unreasonable amount is already a very adequate reason to file a claim or exchange of a vehicle in proper condition.

file the claim before the warranty expires..

most experienced in lined with yours..
