not sure if it is the vintage's effect
for the vintages i have tasted (forget it was 98 or 99, and the other one was 2002)
the wine is really just so-so and rather parkerized
the heavily oaked taste is just like California wines...

if 2000 is performing that nice, i am interested to get one for a try
