Apply 100000 (100 hands) just ot 1 hand, what the :bird::bird:

Something I dont understand, if the chance is 25%, in theory, I should get at least 4 hands, why I just got 1 han ...
I don't understand either.

From the allotment results, people applying 1 lot has a 25% chance of being allocation 1 lot in full.  People applying 20K has a guaranteed allocation of 1K - 5%.

I applied 80K and got allocation of 1K (missed out on the lucky draw) = 1.25%.  Another application of 250K got allocation of 1K (again missed out on the lucky draw of 1,600 out of 1,700) = 0.4%.

Wny is my $1 worth (0.4%) less than other people's $1 (25%).  Are we in a communist country?

25% is for those who applied 1 lot. The allocation rate drops for those apply more. For those apply over 5 millions (Group B), the allocation rate is only 0.61%. Take a look to the below allocation ...
You really think I don't understand how it was allocated?

My question is - why is my $1 worth less than the others?  Shouldn't the allocation be on a pro-rata basis, ie if the oversubscription is 100X after clawback, shouldn't everybody be allocated a 1% of what they subscribed.

Giving everybody 1 lot is a waste of administration effort, and you end up having a lot of people getting 1 lot and paying the minimum transaction fees to the broker/bank.

SORRY TO HEAR THAT BUT THIS IS THE FACT THAT WE ALWAYS FACE WHEN WE
APPLY TO IPO. ACTUALLY I CAN TELL U THE BANK AND THE BROKER ALWAYS
GIVE MORE TO THEIR POTENTIAL CLIENTS. AS MY FRIEND H ...
A friend of mine doesn't APPLY but gets allocations when he asks.  He must have made over $100 million in the past year over IPO.  And then he uses his many companies to apply but the banks and the big investment houses lend him all the money.  But that is his clout and his allocation doesn't come out of the public IPO portion.  I never feel bitter about people getting allocation through their connection.  But with people who don't have connection and fork out real money for the IPO application, why should there be a discrimination between the bigger ticket and the smaller ticket.  Which asshole invented this one person one lot policy?  I don't think it happens anywhere else in the world.

I tried to answer cyberken's question but my post accidentally appeared after yours.
No worries.
