供大眾市民使用的彩色菲林(Kodak)三十年代已有﹐理論上三十年代就會有彩色相。不過把它們發掘出來就不容易。

香港政府應鼓勵市民如膝下無兒女繼承，或家中無條件保存，過身後宜捐出照片或菲林等給博物館，政府應提供方便和宣傳，以免許多有價值的歷史物品失傳。
