據外國及內地的媒體報道指，新一代 iPhone 5 有可能趕不及在今年 9 月上市，原因在於 iPhone 所用的 A5 晶片出現過熱問題，令蘋果計劃將 iPhone 5 延至 2012 年才推出，而且索性不採用 A5，改以 28nm 製作的 A6 晶片代之。

據報道指，A5 晶片在 iPad 2 中的發熱量不算太高，但 A5 的體積比 A4 處理器大，而新一代 iPhone 5 則更輕更薄。在更緊密的內部零件裝嵌下，散熱能力就容易出現問題了。

不過，鑑於用家均熱切期待新機上市，而一年推出一部新 iPhone 亦是蘋果向來的銷售策略，所以傳聞蘋果會推出一款硬體上只有小幅提升 (新天線設計、800 萬像鏡頭、Qualcomm 處理器) 的 iPhone 4S。

有關新一代的 iPhone 傳聞日日新鮮，不知大家覺得這則可不可信呢？若傳聞屬實，大家又會否直接跳過 iPhone 4S，再等待 iPhone 5 上市時才入手呢？
