I just had a not expensive BUT GOOD New Zealand Sauv. Blanc, I thought may be you should try try:

Kim Crawford 2006 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Now on sale at Ponti for $155 (FEB).

IMHO, it is better than the same from Cloudy Bay.

My tasting note:  GOOD !  

Well, since never before have I tried describing a wine, I don't really know kow.

But let me try (from memory):  
First thing that comes to mind is it was quite complex, with loads of fruit; evoled in the mouth with quite long finish;  medium body; good acidity.  Comapared to a recent vintage (forgot what year) Cloudy Bay SB I had a couple months ago, this Kim Crawford was much more complex and pleasing.

As I have never been to Wine Buff before, I made a trip to visit at lunch time today.  AND... at 1:25pm their blue metal shutter was tightly closed !!     There wasn't any sign outside indicating its opening hours either

Be careful not to order Bordeaux wines at Zxx (Pacific Place).

Right at their entrance, they have stacks of wood crates with Bordeaux in them.  On top of one stack sat a noisy and VIBRATING big swirling liquid type air cleaner.

I put my hand on the top crate (w/ Ch. Lynch Bages in it) I could clearly feel the rahter strong vibration.

I did notify one of their waiters, I do hope they'd remove the air cleaner afterwards.

For what it’s worth, here’s my 2 cents:

I have 2 “cellars”:

Electrolux (non-glass solid door, about $23K, 5~6 years ago):
- No motor, no compressor, therefore no vibration (Put hand on side – can’t feel a thing).
- Temp range measured (with wireless device) a steady 14.2 – 14.4 degrees.
- During 5~6 years, it stopped working once (after ~4 years), called dealer, he said just turn it off 24-36 hours and try it, and it was okay. During shut-sown temp slowly went up and maintained about 18 degrees with cold wines inside. Dealer said possible causes are – cooling liquid frozen or, trapped air bubble.
- Overall I am happy with it, I would buy it again HOWEVER its prices have gone up like crazy.

NordingCave (glass door, bout $12K, 1~2 years ago)
- It has motor, compressor (Put hand on side – upper part can’t feel vibration but not sure. Lower part YES can feel some vibration – I do worry about this but no proof of wine damage so far.)
- Temp range measured (with wireless device) 13.7 – 14.7.  I wonder if the wines can feel this 1 degree swing. (Personally my body can feel a difference between 25 and 26 degrees!)  
- Would I buy it again – Yes, BUT ONLY for short term storage, like 2 weeks.

Hope others would share their experience also.

YES Their Central shop is "inch", so if it has to be Ponti, I buy only from their Happy Valley shop. (I don't even know where their Kowloon shop is located.)

Their prices are high, mostly I buy their promotional items and "bin ends", OR their low price items where the difference wouldn't be too much. (Same can be said of Watson's)

Both wines are good value for money I thought, in fact I like the 03 Ch. Puygueraud over Ch. Galon.

Ch. Puygueraud should be geographically inside Bordeaux, and close to St. Emilion.

I still have a couple 1998 Bin 61. Good but not outstanding the last time I tasted it.
Their 1996 Classic Clare Shiraz was memorable though.
