Catch a falling knife????

I prefer to hold cash as market is too volatile. I'd say need to see HSBC's financial reports for 2 or more quarters, to see if it is facing more bad debt (like U-Right, Hang Fung Gold, Tai Lin and many others locally and in overseas) than expected. There should be more to come.

The financial tsunami and recession should last for couples of years, so not necessary to buy any asset too early. But worrying if USD depreciates suddenly after the recent sudden appreciation against all currencies and gold (except YEN).
