charging corkage is reasonable for a restaurant as they have invested money (glasses, decanters, services, etc.)
but i would expect a shop requesting $220/bottle should be having sommelier serving your wine to the best condition, instead of giving you a glass and pour the wine yourself

Actually, I have negotiated a cheaper corkage from them, but it's all history now.  $220/bottle is pricey, but some places do charge $300/bottle.

I'll bring a Penfolds Yattarna tomorrow.

since i want to drink less, I and my 2 colleagues will bring 2 bottles only.

That's already plenty.

I drink a lot, so I bring 3 bottles   

Can I bring 2 bottles? L'Evangile and a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc as pre dinner drink.

Of course we don't mind, we need more head counts to finish all wines.

Exactly.  Drink in moderation ma.

The way it looks, we end up having more than 1 bottle per person.

Wa.  Best buy.  I didn't see that when I placed order for my wife's upcoming trip.

So, either I placed the order now, and forgo the tax refund, or I'll wait until early January.  

They got 5 bottles left at this price.  Should I buy them all?

I bought a Glaetzer Amon-Ra 2006 which is rated 97-100 by RP, at less than A$100.

what about a vertical tasting for 3 - 4 vintages

actaully lots of the wine are becoming very tempting, just Bass Philips, Gioconda (the Chardonnay are all sold out!!!), Jasper Hill, Moss Wood, etc., all are very very attractive
