I understand that you are very hygiene-conscious; in this connection, hygiene at S S is generally acceptable though the towels now start to smell (of disinfectant). On the other hand, at the other sauna where I sometimes go, Lotto, the towels always smell fresh. I think towels are replaced regularly at the latter venue.

The night shift pool attendant at S S, who has previously served at HSM (before it closed in October 2007), categorically told me that in the old HSM, towels in the rest lounge and massage rooms were simply heated ½ÖK for reuse( rather than disposed of for subsequent washing), while now at S S, towels in the rest lounge and massage rooms are always disposed of for subsequent washing after use. I trust him on this (and I don't know about the current situation at HSM). The only exception (at S S) is when a guest leaves the rest lounge to sleep in a room, the towels that have been used on him are taken to the room for his continued use, which is fair-----I have personally experienced this.

But previously you went there quite some times. Did anything happen to you or you are just mindful of some cautionary remarks?

I would say their towel are OK though I still have more confidence on those hotel sauna like Kobe and OPSS in Causeway Bay.  I think SS is fine however their location Sun Hing Building is kind of scary. However, I can say SS is much better than the rest of sauna at Sun Hing like Tak Po etc.

I didnt go anywhere else except a more decent sauna at TST, SS, and HSM. So it could be HSM instead.
