there are 4 ways you may sell your wine at better price:
1. Sell it at Yahoo auction.
2. Ask for sell at some famous drinker's blog if you know one.
3. If you have good relationship with a wine shop you may ask them to help selling your wine at the shop and you pay commission.
4. Ask Oncologist whether he want to buy it and share with his friends, you know he just bought a bottle of Hill of Grace?
With either way, I don't think you can get much higher than 80% of the market price.

Haha,  just missed a chance to get the commision. There is no reference for 98 in hk but I believe the resonable price is about 4-5k.

Should be held in January, just not fixed any date, right? I have no objection with any place. Actually, Chinese and Western restaurant can be used in turn so that we can have different style.

If you want French I can bring Beaucastel CDP 1998 (RP95+),it's just entering its drinking window, or I can bring CLONAKILLA 2001 Shiraz Voignier (JH96) which suppose to be one of the best Australia's Cote-Rotie style wine.

OK, then I'll bring the Beaucastel. By the way, I also think JH's rating are often too generous, same thing happening on RP's mark to aus wines, who's rating you guys think is more reliable for aus wines then?

Of course we don't just rely on grading, only when we don't have first hand experience, grading is still a good pointer, at least it will reduce chances buying a bad wine with our hard-earned money. The practical problem is that we can't try and taste everything so that we can only trust those experienced drinker or so-called wine critics. Actually, I find myself enjoyed wines ranging from RP80-RP9x, sometimes a RP92 wine is not necessary better than RP85 wine, even Parker himself said the difference between RP96,97,98,99,100 is just something emotional at a given moment.

Brother dejavu, I think some ladies may not like too meaty, you could include the Salmon or Cod in the main course selection and you make decision for other choices la.

Oncologist, Any good Rhone after 2000 is just too young to drink IMHO, or you could buy a white wine, we have only 2 white from Tai till this moment.

no problem la, I don't mind to drink any wine while it's a good wine.

Brothers, that problem puzzled me for a while before, many people say that use a decanter can accelerate the maturity of a wine, some even claimed that 1 hr in the decanter just like 1 yr in the cellar, if that is the case why should we still cellar our wine? now I come to my own conclusion that even decanter can help to smooth out the tannic and help different components integrate better so that a new wine is more approachable in it's early stage, I still believe good wines need time and patient to allow those complex aroma and secondary flavor to develop, that can't be replaced by a decanter. Any insightful opinion about it?

可愛老頑童's suggestion is very constuctive, actually I can offer a pair of Domain Beaurenard CDP 2001 instead of the single bottle of Beaucastel, it's less famous but seems still a solid wine (RP89-91, WS94), just see your perference.
