charging corkage is reasonable for a restaurant as they have invested money (glasses, decanters, services, etc.)
but i would expect a shop requesting $220/bottle should be having sommelier serving your wine to the best condition, instead of giving you a glass and pour the wine yourself

what about a vertical tasting for 3 - 4 vintages

actaully lots of the wine are becoming very tempting, just Bass Philips, Gioconda (the Chardonnay are all sold out!!!), Jasper Hill, Moss Wood, etc., all are very very attractive
